Das PharmaForum schafft eine Plattform, auf der sich Wissenschaftler*innen und Unternehmen aus der Region mit Vertreter*innen forschender Pharma-Unternehmen treffen. Ziel ist es, zu gemeinsamen Projekten zu finden, wie beispielsweise Forschungskooperationen und Finanzierungen. Veranstaltet wird das PharmaForum durch den Verband Forschender Pharma-Unternehmen (vfa), den Gesundheitspolitischen Arbeitskreis Mitte als Interessengemeinschaft forschender Pharma-Unternehmen und die Wirtschaftsressorts der Länder Rheinland-Pfalz und Hessen sowie die Staatskanzlei des Saarlandes.

Saarland University is offering around 350 program items from all disciplines on its Open Day on Saturday, 13 May. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Saarbrücken campus will be all about science, studying and teaching. Prospective students will find information about the wide range of courses on offer at the university and can get to know the campus. Scientists will open their laboratories and give lectures to provide insights into their current research. There are also many exciting hands-on activities for children and young people. The Fraunhofer IBMT is on site with the mobile technology carrier "BioSensoLab" and presents two topics: 1) Networked sensors with AI-based data analysis - presentation of the Fraunhofer Center for Sensor Intelligence ZSI. 2) A mobile laboratory for pests in agriculture - presentation of the first results from the project "PhenoTruck".

On behalf of the VDE DGBMT, the local organizing committee, and the scientific committee, we are delighted to invite you to the 57th Annual Conference of the German Society for Biomedical Engineering taking place from 26. - 28.09.2023 in Duisburg. The annual conference is one of the largest platforms for European scientists, physicians, engineers, researchers, students, and young professionals to exchange knowledge and experiences of the latest biomedical trends and findings. The VDE DGBMT brings a network of passionate professionals, all contributing their experience and knowledge. Therefore, we must have the ability to tackle current challenges. This upcoming conference will be held under a set of themes such as medical translation, patient-centered medicine, regulatory affairs, healthcare sustainability, deep medicine and technical sovereignty. Another main focus of the conference is the promotion of young talents and so we once again welcome active participation and will start a call for abstracts soon inviting everybody to submit his/her latest study findings. In order to enhance networking and interaction on-site, we offer several professional and social side events such as Company Tinder, Young Forum, Get Together, or our Evening Event.
