The pilot line for condition monitoring is based on the CP Lab system. At the Fraunhofer Center for Sensor Intelligence ZSI, the demonstrator is used to show how a priori information can be utilized in production monitoring over the long term. With the help of Sensor Intelligence Devices (SIDs), a component is automatically tracked and uniquely identified throughout the entire production process. Each process station collects environmental and status data, which is communicated via TCP/UDP and uniquely assigned to the respective production step. Participants can interactively experience the process firsthand and learn how material characterization and state classification work. Through the use of machine learning and explanatory metrics such as confusion matrices, F1 scores, and recall, machine learning models can be systematically compared on the demonstrator for various applications.
The demonstrator illustrates the overarching goal and mission of Fraunhofer ZSI: the development of an intelligent, networked production chain that uses feedback and forward information to optimize processes, reduce data volumes, and enable predictive maintenance. Join us and get a glimpse into the production of tomorrow.
