The Fraunhofer Center for Sensor Intelligence ZSI has a pilot line for the development, optimization, and production of printed solutions for biological and medical applications.

With a combination of specialized laboratory space, sophisticated equipment, and interdisciplinary expertise, Fraunhofer ZSI supports established companies, start-ups, and academic partners along the entire innovation chain - from demonstrator development and prototyping to pilot production and market launch. The new pilot line gives small and medium-sized companies in particular access to state-of-the-art manufacturing technology for the functional printing of functional elements and systems for biological and medical applications.

With flexible and scalable process chains, a comprehensive portfolio of printing and microstructuring technologies, and the integrative interlinking of material development, product design, prototyping, quality control, and production planning, Fraunhofer ZSI positions itself as a key partner for the successful transfer of technological innovations in the fields of diagnostics, medical care, and cell-based biotechnology.
